Tour itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Lisbon
A warm welcome awaits you upon your arrival in Lisbon as staff will be there to greet you at the airport and shuttle you to your hotel. After settling in, your introduction to the city is marked with a special Welcome Reception this evening.

Day 2 Lisbon
A visit to Lisbon is incomplete without taking a ride in the iconic trams that are characteristic of the city. Taking a trip around Old Town can also be an unforgettable experience. One cannot miss out Jerónimos Monastery, an incredible World Heritage-listed site which was built by King Manuel I in 1502 as a tribute to Vasco da Gama’s voyage. Round off the day with a pleasant Welcome Dinner.

Day 3 Lisbon, Sintra
Explore the stunning Serra de Sintra mountain range and be amazed by the magnificent Pena National Palace. Afterwards, take a guided walk around the quaint town of Sintra below. Stop for refreshment during lunch and afterwards carry on towards Lisbon along the mesmerising coast route. When back in Lisbon, spend your evening sampling some of the local cuisine in one of its renowned restaurants.

Day 4 Lisbon, Coimbra, Porto, Embark Ship
Make your way to Porto, Portugal’s one-of-a-kind medieval city and home of the country’s most well known university. Take a guided tour before having free time for lunch, then board the river ship as you set off to enjoy a Welcome Dinner. As night falls, marvel at the beauty of this area on an unforgettable twilight cruise down the stunning waterways of Porto.

Day 5 Porto
Visiting Porto will be an amazing experience, and you will have the opportunity to explore it in your own way.

Day 6 Porto, Guimarães, Entre-Os-Rios
For a unique day trip, venture to the city of Guimarães. This quaint and untouched town offers a journey through the rise of medieval life. Afterwards, set sail for the Douro Valley and stop at Entre-Os-Rios for a tour of Quinta da Avelada – a winery that has produced wine in the Douro region since 1870. Stroll through its beautiful gardens before indulging in a wine and cheese tasting experience.

Day 7 Régua
As the sun rises in the sky, enjoy the stunning natural beauty of Régua as you travel there. Upon arrival, take a tour of the Douro Museum for an enlightening look into the culture and traditions of the Douro Valley’s winemaking industry. The museum gives a comprehensive understanding of all things related to vineyards and wine production.

Day 8 Regua, Pinhão
Once you have finished your chosen activity today, why not take a leisurely drive through the breathtaking Douro Valley and make your way to Pinhão?

Day 9 Pinhão
Make your way to Palacio de Mateus, close to the city of Vila Real. Constructed in 1745, this palace offers an extraordinary look into Portuguese nobility’s lifestyles. Treat yourself to a delightful Captain’s Farewell Dinner while aboard.

Day 10 Barca d’Alva
Head to the picturesque village of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo and explore its castle ruins for a day. From here, take in stunning views of the Douro Valley, along with its neighbouring towns. To top off your experience, indulge in a scrumptious meal on board as you make the most of your last evening voyage.

Day 11 Barca d’Alva, Disembark Ship, Salamanca, Madrid
Head to Barca d’Alva this afternoon and explore the historic city of Salamanca. On your guided tour, marvel at iconic sites such as the University of Salamanca and House of Shells. Later, make your way to Madrid and check into your hotel for a night of leisurely relaxation.

Day 12 Madrid
Finish off a memorable time in Madrid with an amazing Farewell Dinner at a delightful local restaurant.

Day 13 Madrid
Today in Madrid, you have the opportunity to experience a host of sightseeing activities. Afterwards, you are free to roam and explore the city at your own leisure.

Day 14 Depart Madrid
