Day 1 Arrival in Lisbon
Welcome to Portugal!
Once you’ve arrived, our guide will take you to the captivating town of Azóia. Located on the coastline close to Cape da Roca, which is the westernmost point of Europe’s mainland, it lies within the Sintra municipality and is renowned for its wineries and special vines that thrive in sandy soil exposed to maritime climates. To truly enjoy your time here we recommend taking a leisurely stroll around, indulging in scrumptious Portuguese cuisine and unwinding at your quaint hotel before seeing what else this fantastic destination has to offer.Transfer from Lisbon 0:45 h
Day 2 Hike from Azóia to Praia Grande
Explore and conquer the stunning Cape Roca!
Following a delightful breakfast, why not step outside and explore the stunning views of the ocean from the cliftops? You will soon find yourself at Cape Roca; this is mainland Europe’s westernmost point and boasts a marvelous lighthouse which has stood since 1772. Along this rocky peninsula lies Ursa beach, an area with remarkable scenery. Another option for lunch may be Adraga beach, but you may also want to visit Praia Grande too.

Day 3 Hike from Praia Grande to Sintra
Discover the enchanted village and forests of Sintra!
What an extraordinary day awaits! Head away from Praia Grande and take a journey to the forest. As you travel, be sure to take in the remarkable beauty that surrounds you. Before long, you will come across the stunning Franciscan Capuchos Convent – built directly into solid rock with cork walls – which stands as a testament to the simple life of piety lived by the friars who once resided here. Then, visit Monserrate Palace – a magnificent neo-gothic mansion that pays tribute to Sintra’s romantic period. Spend some time exploring Sintra’s historic village center later in the day; strolling its cobbled streets and uncovering one hidden delight after another! And no trip is complete without sampling some scrumptious local pastries.

Day 4 Hike Sintra Loop
On today’s agenda is an exhilarating exploration of Sintra’s hillside. The awe-inspiring architectural monuments have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1995, and the majestic Pena Palace and imposing Moorish Castle will be part of the day’s journey. As you travel through these breathtaking landscapes that appear fit for royalty, take in the incredible views that have made it a UNESCO landmark and end off your evening with a delectable dinner at the village center. Make today an unforgettable hiking experience!
