Day 1 Overnight Flight

Day 2 Cascais, Portugal – Tour Begins
Venture to the stunning Portuguese Riviera and make it your temporary residence for two nights. Boasting mansions in Cascais and Monte Estoril, you can experience a trace of its opulence that was once enjoyed by exiled European nobility. To begin your journey, join your fellow travellers for a welcome dinner this evening.
Day 3 Cascais – Nazaré – Obidos – Cascais
Head to Nazaré, a small port city that is already starting to prepare for its New Year’s celebration. Known as one of the most prestigious festivals in Portugal, it is truly something not to be missed. For another flavour of the holiday season, take a trip over to Obidos. This little village features traditional cobblestone streets and medieval walls that make it an ideal destination for sightseeing.
Day 4 Cascais – Lisbon – Funchal, Madeira
Visit the beautiful, subtropical island of Madeira by flying to Funchal. Take a stroll down the vibrant Rua de Santa Maria, decorated with stunning murals. Indulge yourself with lunch at one of the delightful outdoor restaurants. Then it’s your choice -either investigate the vast terraces at Madeira Botanical Gardens which boast more than 2,000 exotic plants or embark on a walking tour around Funchal and discover its 15th-century cathedral, captivating plazas and colonial homes. The rest of your day is yours to spend as you wish!
Day 5 Funchal – Ponta de São Lourenço – New Year’s Eve Gala – Funchal
As you experience the stunning coastal beauty of Garajau, feel the gentle ocean winds caress your skin. Don’t miss your chance to explore Ponta de São Lourenço, offering an awe-inspiring sight of the deep blue Atlantic Ocean. Day 6 Funchal
Start the New Year off differently by spending a day in Funchal. There are so many ways to enjoy this Portuguese island’s capital: discover Madeira’s art culture, wander through vibrant gardens, and sample some of the area’s famous fortified wines at one of several wineries.
Day 7 Funchal – Câmara de Lobos – Porto Moniz – Funchal
For the perfect start to your day, head to the 15th-century town of Câmara de Lobos. This humble fishing village and nature retreat is surrounded by lush banana plantations and winding vineyards. Not far away is Cabo Girão, which at nearly 600 metres tall has been declared the world’s second-highest cliff. In the afternoon, tour historic Porto Moniz and see its natural volcanic pools before heading back to Funchal for dinner.
Day 8 Funchal – Lisbon – Belém – Lisbon
Experience the beauty and wonder of Portugal as you travel to Lisbon and explore the city with your tour guide. Discover iconic landmarks such as the Jerónimos Monastery (UNESCO) and Tower of Belém (UNESCO), and marvel at the Monument to the Discoveries. Before heading back for the night, why not take a leisurely walk around downtown Lisbon to admire its twinkling lights? Don’t forget to pay a visit to one of the vibrant winter markets!
Day 9 Lisbon
Today, take a break from sightseeing and explore Lisbon in your own way. As an optional evening activity, you can treat yourself to a mouth-watering dinner of Portuguese delicacies while local artists provide entertainment with their performance of Fado – listed as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage.
Day 10 Lisbon – Sintra – Lisbon
Take a journey to explore the historic Portuguese city of Sintra (UNESCO). Delight in the spectacular National Palace, which served as the summer residence of Portuguese kings. On your way back to Lisbon marvel at Cabo da Roca, mainland Europe’s most westerly point. To conclude your travels with an unforgettable evening, toast to a trip well-travelled and bid farewell to Portugal.
