Day 1 Lisbon (Portugal)
It’s time to immerse yourself in the enthralling culture and Gothic glamour of Lisbon. Gather with us at the Turim Terreiro do Paço Hotel (or similar) and let’s get started on this exciting adventure! To begin, how about a group dinner accompanied by an atmospheric Fado performance? Here’s to a wonderful journey ahead!

Day 2 Lisbon – Sintra – Lisbon
Following a delightful breakfast, we’ll be visiting an atelier distinguished for its tile painting skills so you can create something to remember our visit by. Next up, a guided tour of the Sintra National Palace awaits – this beloved royal home enjoying World Heritage status from UNESCO. We’ll round off the day with some free time in charming Sintra before heading back to Lisbon. Accommodation: Turim Terreiro do Paço Hotel (or similar)

Day 3 Lisbon – Óbidos and Nazaré – Alvados
Beginning our journey today at the picturesque village of Óbidos, we have a chance to take an orientation tour to appreciate the historic architecture and meander through its cobblestone streets. Later, visiting Nazaré will be an opportunity for some free time to wander around as we please before heading off to Alvados. Here, Cooking and Nature Emotional Hotel (or similar) provides us with a cooking lesson followed by a delicious meal – are you ready to roll up your sleeves?

Day 4 Alvados – Tomar – Alvados
This afternoon, we’ll take our journey to Tomar, a historic gem that is home to the World Heritage-listed Convent of Christ. Here, we will have some free time to explore and discover this Knights Templar City. Before returning to Alvados later on, we’ll treat our tastebuds with a visit to an olive oil producer where you can learn about their production processes as well as taste the local oil! In the evening, you are free to explore the walking trails or make use of your accommodation’s facilities – Cooking and Nature Emotional Hotel (or similar).

Day 5 Alvados – Coimbra – Viseu
We will venture to Coimbra for a chance to visit the renowned University and its remarkable Joanina Library. Be sure to take in the grand sights of the River Mondego from within the historic grounds before spending some time meandering through the city’s medieval centre. Our next stop is Viseu, where we have been invited by a local cheesemaker to learn about their celebrated buttery cheese. We’ll also have an opportunity to sample this delicacy before having some spare time to enjoy Viseu at leisure for the evening. For accommodation, we recommend Hotel Palacio dos Melos (or similar).

Day 6 Viseu – Lamego, Pinhão and Peso Da Régua – Douro Valley
To begin our journey, we will make a stop at the storied town of Lamego. Here, we can explore an extravagant Baroque staircase and visit the stunning 18th-century Shrine of Our Lady of Remedies. Afterwards, you’ll have some time to wander around on your own. Next, we turn our attention to Pinhão for a cruise on a traditional rabelo boat which will take us through the picturesque Douro Valley until we reach Peso da Régua. To cap off the day, there’s a tasty feast awaiting all of us at our hotel. Accommodation: Quinta da Pacheca (or similar).

Day 7 Douro Valley
Amidst tranquil vineyard-filled views, today offers up a free day to take a break in Douro Valley. Spend hours lazing by your hotel’s pool or exploring nearby nature – there is enough time to sample some of this renowned region’s celebrated wines before reconvening for an amazing dinner. For tonight’s stay, you’ll be at Quinta da Pacheca (or similar).

Day 8 Douro Valley – Amarante and Penafiel – Braga
After a leisurely morning breakfast, our day will begin with the discovery of Amarante – a beautiful riverside village epitomized by its unique bridge and renowned 16th-century São Gonçalo Church. Taking some time to soak up the grandeur of this revered place of worship, we’ll enjoy exploring the town further. Then it’s on to Penafiel for a tasting of the region’s popular green wine as well as learning about the winemaking process. Our evening will be spent at Braga, where restful accommodation can be found at Hotel Vila Galé Collection Braga (or similar).

Day 9 Braga – Guimarães – Braga
Today, let us explore Guimarães – we will learn about the significance of the castle, Palace of the Dukes of Braganza and stroll around its historic city centre with a guided tour. After that, you’ll be free to wander through the medieval streets as you please before travelling back to Braga for some leisure time. In addition, we highly recommend you visiting one of Portugal’s best tourist destinations – Bom Jesus Sanctuary! To sum up our journey here, we’ll cap off with a delicious dinner accompanied by a folk performance. Accommodation: Hotel Vila Galé Collection Braga (or similar)

Day 10 Braga – Porto
The end of the road is Porto where we will explore several renowned sights. We’ll take a guided tour around Clérigos Tower, Aliados Avenue, the Ribeira district and finish off at the cathedral for an orientation. Before long, it’s time to part ways as this journey has come to its conclusion.
