Day 3 On Our way to the Capital: Porto to Lisbon
We will begin our day early as we board the fast train for Lisbon. A group transfer is organized from the station to a centrally located four star hotel. We’ll take an exclusive tour around the City with a local guide, who will show us all that Lisbon has to offer, from St. George Castle and its surrounding quarter to Alfama, Lisbon’s oldest district. Additionally, we’ll also explore Downtown and Chiado – two traditional commercial zones in the city renowned for their 18th century architecture. After concluding our private tour there will be time for sightseeing and exploring on your own; Tour director recommends tasting a bifa na or Pastel de Nata pastry along with an espresso! To end our evening we have a Welcome Fado Show and Dinner planned (included), which grants us the opportunity to experience some of Portugal’s popular cuisine while being entertained by an engaging Fado performance. This unique song style is classified as Unesco World heritage and you’ll understand why. Vegetarian options are available.
Tour director tip: After the Fado show why not stay for some drinks at Bairro Alto and enjoy it’s quiet yet lively charm?

Day 4 Sintra, the fairytale town and Cascais, Lisbon’s riviera
Following our breakfast, we will set out for a day tour to Sintra and Cascais. Located 30 km from the capital city of Lisbon, Sintra is an idyllic paradise with a permanent hint of freshness in its air due to its temperate climate, adding to the beauty of its lush vegetation. Tourists flock here to admire the grand Town Palace, Pena Palace and Moorish Castle. There’ll be some free time given for lunch. Later on, we will take a scenic route towards Cascais; this fishing village has been around since the 12th century and has been preserved until present day as it is favoured by many as place to settle in. Passing through Estoril along the coast, you can admire the picturesque beaches that are part of why this region is dubbed ‘Lisbon Riviera’. Return trip back at hotel where you have free evening awaits!

From monumental churches to historic squares – including white houses and narrow medieval streets – Évora is synonymous for cultural mixture.
