Day 1 Lisbon
When you arrive in Lisbon, a private transfer to your hotel will be waiting. After you settle in, our certificated guide will pick you up and take you on an exciting Half Day City Tour. Starting at St. George’s Castle and the old district of Alfama, located on the highest hill of Lisbon, explore 18th century buildings such as Downtown and Chiado which are full of traditional commerce areas. This tour showcases the best that Lisbon has to offer so don’t miss out! Afterwards, enjoy comfortable accommodation right in the heart of this wonderful city.
Day 2 Lisbon / Sintra
This morning your driver and guide will pick you up from the hotel and take you to discover the World Heritage Site of Sintra. You’ll drive through the mountain, witnessing numerous Royal Palaces, Chalets as well as Aristocratic residences – each capturing a unique combination of architectural styles and colours. You’ll then visit Quinta da Regaleira which is one of Sintra’s most emblematic spots. After lunch (not included) in the fishing town of Cascais where you can taste its world-renowned ‘fish cooked in salt’, we’ll continue our journey exploring Colares’ unique wines in the afternoon.

Day 3 Evora / Estremoz
In and around Estremoz
Time to leave the comfort of the lobby and check-out as we journey to Évora. Along the way, a traditional local restaurant provides an opportunity to stop for lunch (not included). After arriving in Évora, an afternoon guided tour takes us through its historical center so that we may truly appreciate the atmosphere of this town. As part of our exploration, we encounter the enigmatic church of St. Francis and its Chapel of Bones, as well as Giraldo Square which once held the headquarters for Inquisition. During our travels in this millennium-old city, taking time out to observe Roman Temple and 12th century cathedral is highly recommended. To finish off our day together, a winery visit and wine pairing await us at a nearby cellar. Accommodation arranged in Évora
Day 4 Evora / Monsaraz
Start the day off with a tour of Monsaraz, a quaint medieval town. Afterwards, take an opportunity to sample some Alentejo wines and enjoy lunch (not included) at one of its top wineries. Then return to Évora for time to relax and use all the hotel amenities. Overnight lodging provided at Évora.
Day 5 Coimbra
Before heading to the beautiful city of Coimbra, check-out from your accommodation and be prepared to explore a city steeped in ancient history. Home to one of the oldest universities in the world, Coimbra also offers some of Portugal’s most picturesque buildings. This evening you will stay in the city where the tale of Prince Pedro and his beloved Inês de Castro unfolded. Accommodation has been reserved for you in Coimbra.
Day 6 International Douro Natural Park / Lamego
In the afternoon, you will be taken from your hotel to Quinta da Pacheca (or similar depending on availability) wine estate for a visit, tasting and lunch. Enjoy a leisurely meal in this gorgeous region of Douro Valley. Afterwards, enjoy a private transfer back to the hotel to cap off the day’s activities.
Day 7 International Douro Natural Park / Peso da Regua
Beginning the day with leisure and individual pursuits, later in the afternoon we will take off on a voyage to explore the Douro Valley from a unique angle. On our way back to our hotel, we will stop off at Douro Valley Winery and Vineyards for an exciting wine tasting experience. Our evening will be spent making ourselves comfortable in accommodations located within the gorgeous Douro region.
Day 8 Porto / Guimaraes
Venture into Minho and be sure to try some of the delicious Vinho Verde for which the region is renowned. We will then move on to Guimarães, cradle of Portugal’s Nation and where their first king, Dom Afonso Henriques, chose as the country’s first capital city. There will be time here to grab a bite to eat (not included), before we embark on a walking tour of Guimaraes’ historical centre – deemed by UNESCO to be worthy of World Heritage status. Return to Porto in late afternoon/evening and check into accommodation there.
Day 9 Porto
In the morning half day visit of the city of Porto with an official Tour Guide.
A visit to the historical city center, which is recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, will give you plenty of opportunity to explore Lello Library – the place where Harry Potter books and movies were inspired. Nearby is the Gold Church of São Francisco and the Stock Exchange Palace with its intricate granite work and majestic neo-Arab touches. The tour comes to an end at the riverfront, where you can admire D. Luis bridge and the wineries that have earned Porto its status as one of the leading producers of port wine. You may even be lucky enough to partake on a tasting tour at one these cellars!
Tonight we will finish those unforgettable holidays with Farewell Gourmet dinner in a 1 Start Michelin Restaurant in Porto (except on sundays and mondays, because these restaurants are closed).
