Day 1 Overnight Flight

Day 2 Barcelona, Spain – Tour Begins
Discover the heart of Spain. The first stop on your journey is the stunning city of Barcelona. Gather with your travel group this evening for a delicious dinner at a local eatery to kick off your Spanish adventure!
Day 3 Barcelona
When visiting Barcelona, it is the perfect opportunity to explore this amazing city up close and personal. Therefore, why not begin your day with a leisurely walk from the hotel to some of Barcelona’s most iconic landmarks? Afterwards, take some time out for lunch before joining an expert-led panoramic tour showing off Columbus Monument, Parc de Magjuic and Antoni Gaudi’s works like Batllo House and Casa Mila (UNESCO). And no trip to Barcelona would be complete without visiting La Sagrada Familia (UNESCO), Gaudi’s masterpiece which began its construction in 1882 and is expected to be finished by 2026 as a commemoration on the anniversary of Gaudi’s death.
Day 4 Barcelona – Peniscola – Valencia
Venture away from Barcelona and head towards Valencia, but not before stopping to explore the hidden gem of Peniscola. As you arrive, take a moment to admire its 13th century Knights Templar Castle. Moreover, enjoy free time for yourself and discover the beauty this fortified town has to offer. Then, move on to Valencia where history comes alive through its Roman and Arabic architecture—all located amidst citrus groves. Lastly, hop on an optional tour that will uncover the myths and legends of the city!
Day 5 Valencia – Albufera – Valencia
Discover the wonders of Valencia with a panoramic tour of its iconic sites. Start off at the City of Arts and Sciences, an innovative complex for learning. Then travel back in time to the old town, where your local guide will impart all kinds of fascinating history about Serranos Towers. Make sure you get to experience the liveliness of the central market as well. Afterwards, venture to Albufera and take a leisurely boat ride through its tree-lined canals and fields. Once there, visit a barraca – a traditional fisherman’s home – before enjoying an enlightening demonstration of how paella is made followed by a delectable lunch.
Day 6 Valencia – Granada
This evening, take the journey to Granada, a city that was once the glorious last stronghold of Moorish rule before its capture by the Catholic monarchs in 1492. After arriving, settle down with your fellow companions and enjoy dinner at a nearby restaurant.
Day 7 Granada – Seville
This morning, experience the beauty of Seville with a guided tour of the Alhambra**. This ancient fortress is a site of immense architectural and historical significance, listed as a UNESCO world heritage site.
Day 8 Seville
Whatever your vision of Seville is, make sure you experience it for yourself! You could embark on a walking tour of the Santa Cruz Quarter with an experienced guide and take in all its charm: the orange trees and picturesque white-washed houses. Or, you could get a different appreciation of the city by taking to the waters of Guadalquivir River on a boat cruise, passing beneath centuries-old bridges and towers. Later, head to Seville Cathedral (UNESCO), the largest Gothic church in existence, and marvel at Columbus’ tomb as well as the towering Giralda Bell Tower. End off your afternoon with some local tapas while appreciating a beautiful view of the cathedral. To finish things off properly, spend your evening watching an authentic flamenco performance (UNESCO)
Day 9 Seville – Cordoba – Madrid
A journey to the captivating city of Cordoba, located near Madrid, is one full sensory experience. Enjoy a guided tour of La Mezquita (UNESCO), a stunning 8th-century mosque that was later converted into the city’s cathedral during the 16th century. Afterward, take a stroll through Cordoba’s well-preserved Jewish Quarter for further exploration. A high-speed train will bring you to Spain’s capital city of Madrid where you can arrive at late afternoon and explore the city on your own or find some time to rest.
Day 10 Madrid
Take a guided tour of Madrid and see gems such as Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor, sites that have been around since the 17th century. With your local expert, you’ll be able to explore the Prado Museum which opened in 1819 and houses impressive works from renowned artists like Velazquez and Goya. Following that, you will get some free time to wander this incredible city further.
Day 11 Madrid – Toledo – Elvas, Portugal
Elvas, a World Heritage site, is the perfect garrison town to visit when travelling off-the-beaten-path. Make sure to take a comprehensive tour of the spectacular landscape as soon as you arrive. From here, venture over the border and explore Toledo (UNESCO), which served as the capital of medieval Spain until 1560. Don’t forget to pay homage to its magnificent Gothic cathedral while there!
Day 12 Elvas – Lisbon
Your visit to Portugal’s capital city, Lisbon, begins with a trip from Elvas. Delve into the country’s history and culture by visiting monuments such as the Jeronimo’s Monastery (UNESCO), the Monument to the Discoveries, and the Tower of Belém (UNESCO). As night falls, you’ll be welcomed in your new home for 3 nights. Enjoy discovering this vibrant city!
Day 13 Lisbon
Today is all about you! Take in everything that this amazing capital city has to offer. Enjoy a delicious gastronomic experience or hop on board one of Lisbon’s iconic trams and explore Alfama, one of its oldest districts. For those feeling adventurous, why not embark on an exciting journey to Portugal’s stunning Riviera?
Day 14 Lisbon – Obidos – Lisbon
As your journey through Portugal draws to a close, treat yourself to a visit of Obidos – one of the country’s most celebrated towns. With its maze of cobbled lanes and whitewashed cottages, this medieval settlement will have you transfixed with its beauty. Spend some time wandering through the picturesque alleyways or indulge in local delicacies such as liqueur made from sour cherries and served in exquisite chocolate cups. To conclude your incredible tour of Spain and Portugal, join us for an evening farewell dinner that is sure to bring back wonderful memories!
