This weekend getaway is perfect for couples, particularly those with only one person driving! We’ll be staying in the beautiful Portuguese town of Sintra. Nestled between the Serra de Sintra hills and its cooler climate, this picturesque area has long been home to some of Portugal’s wealthiest residents who have built luxurious palaces, stately mansions, and gorgeous gardens. So come join us for a memorable motorcycle tour and a weekend break in a one-of-a-kind Sintra!
Cabo da Roca – the most western point of Europe – awaits you for your Portugal weekend break! Start off your adventure with a drive to this scenic spot, meeting hundreds of local bikers along the way. The next day you’ll hit Parque de Arrabina with its stunning landscapes that guarantee a big smile inside your helmet. For day two, plan to take in the views from Peniche at the Atlantic coast road before eventually making your way back to Sintra via Serra de montojunto.
No journey is ever set in stone. Our travels can be increased or decreased depending on the situation, time, or our own intuition! The roads may differ each day, but we have the freedom to adjust our plans accordingly.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Sintra
Day 1 | Thursday | d It is with great pleasure that the staff at Casa do Valle invite you to join us no later than 8 pm. Your room has been prepared in advance and will be available from 2 pm.
Day 2 Sesimbra
In and around SesimbraDAY 2 | Friday | b,d | 218km – 4h 0min On our first day of driving, there are many wonderful trails to explore. Our main destination is the breathtaking Parque Natural Arrabida. Along the way, you will visit a few villages and in Setubal treat yourself to the seafood delicacy of calamari. Upon returning to Sintra, one can take the lower road of Arrabida and end your excursion with a majestic drive across Ponte Vasco da Gama into Lisbon.
Day 3 Peniche
In and around PenicheDAY 3 | Saturday | b,d | 219km – 4h 15min This amazing journey takes us northward along the stunning Atlantic coast to Peniche! Found on the peninsula, it’s our designated lunch spot for this adventure. After filling up on delicious cuisine, we continue south and traverse Serra de Montejunto, a hilly national park with mesmerizing roads for any avid motorcyclist.
Day 4 Cabo da Roca
DAY 4 | Sunday | b,d | 88km – 2h 39min The last stretch of the drive may be short in distance, but it is full of amazing views that we will take time to appreciate! Today’s highlight is Europe’s most western point – Cabo da Roca. We won’t be alone when we arrive; Sunday seems to be the day chosen by local bikers for a gathering at this spot. For those who can speak Portuguese, here is your chance to show off your language skills! ;] Day 5 brings us to Sintra.
Day 5 Sintra
DAY 5 | Monday | b Why not take advantage of a later flight and enjoy your last morning in Sintra? Go for a swim in the pool, savour a leisurely breakfast, and then take a stroll before it’s time to depart.
