Day 1 Lisbon (1D)
Come nightfall, treat yourself to a memorable experience and explore the rich culture of Lisbon with a traditional Portuguese dinner and performance of Fado – Portugal’s iconic folk singing. Head over to one of the city’s oldest neighbourhoods for an unforgettable evening.
To ensure you are able to join the group for dinner, please arrive in Lisbon by 6pm at the latest.

Day 2 Lisbon (1B)
Journey to the lush, romantic hills of Sintra – a 19th century resort town and UNESCO World Heritage site. Admire the fairytale palaces and colourful manors that inspired so many, from English Romantic poet Lord Byron to Portuguese royalty. Spend your free time discovering the pastel-hued architecture and vivid plazas of Lisbon. Or you may choose to experience a slice of engineering genius with a ride on the Santa Justa lift; stretching 147 feet upwards for a breathtaking view over the city.

Day 3 Lisbon/Évora (1B)
A journey to Évora, a medieval town nestled in the tranquil Alentejo region, is sure to enthral any traveler. Within its confines lies the Chapel of Bones, an evocative 16th-century structure created by Franciscan monks. Another place of great interest is Diana’s Temple – one of the most well-preserved Roman monuments on the Iberian Peninsula.

Day 4 vora (1B, 1L)
Those seeking a unique experience should look no further than the picturesque Montemor-o-Novo countryside. Home to centuries-old cork forests, visitors can join a local expert on a traditional farm and discover all about cork harvesting and production. After learning all they need to know, be sure to taste a lunch especially prepared for cork strippers at one of the restaurants in town.

Day 5 vora/Coimbra (1B)
Take a trip back in time and explore the Crusades era in Portugal by spending the day in Tomar. Led by a local expert, begin your history tour at the Convent of Christ—a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This vast medieval complex was built around 1160 by Gualdim Pais who was grand master of the Knights Templar. Then continue on to Coimbra for an evening stay.

Day 6 Coimbra/Porto (1B)

Day 7 Porto (1B)

Discover the long-standing port wine tradition at one of the local wineries, then try some samples – a must-have experience! Day 8 Porto/Madrid
Taking a short flight to the Spanish capital, Madrid, you can experience its amazing squares and boulevards. Later on today, why not join up with others on your journey who are having a group meeting this evening and then decide whether to have dinner all together or not?

Day 9 Madrid (1B)
A short flight away from the airport lies Madrid, brimming with leafy boulevards and awe-inspiring squares. Start your journey by grabbing a coffee at the Plaza Mayor, an outdoor café surrounded by opulent 17th-century arcades. Head south to Toledo next, perched atop a rock headland along the Tagus River. Have a local historian guide you through its churches, synagogues, mosques and plazas – all of which have been declared UNESCO World Heritage sites. Gaze up at the soaring tower of its 13th century cathedral as you walk around the old quarter to admire its Gothic architecture. Return to Madrid for quality free time; be it admiring artwork at the Museo del Prado or unwinding at a cafe before experiencing the city’s vibrant nightlife. Take a quick plane ride to Madrid, the vibrant Spanish capital filled with beautiful squares and boulevards. Start your tour at the Plaza Mayor, a magnificent 17th-century square lined with shopping arcades where you can take it easy with some coffee at one of its outdoor cafés. Then head to the Palacio Real, Real Jardín Botánico or El Escorial for more sightseeing. Jump aboard a high-speed train ride to the beguiling destination of Córdoba, brimming with Andalusian culture and captivating history. As the former magnificent capital of Al-Andalus (Muslim Spain) until its fall in 1236, this stunning city was once the largest in Europe. Be sure to explore the UNESCO World Heritage site and marvel at the impressive Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba (Mezquita), where a 13th century Catholic cathedral sits among what used to be an 8th century Moorish mosque. Afterwards, discover more enchanting sights as you wander down traditional whitewashed houses that populate around the Jewish quarter’s winding lanes. End your day in style by indulging in Córdoba’s unique cuisine which draws influences from Roman, Moorish, Christian and Jewish traditions. Tonight, take a trip through time with the unique flavours of Córdoba’s gastronomy. Today, experience the incredible Alhambra: constructed in the 13th century by Nasrid sultans and a standout example of Moorish architecture. On your guided tour, you’ll be captivated by the stunning stuccowork, graceful archways, and lush gardens that fill this World Heritage Site’s courtyards. Afterwards, explore on your own to discover Granada’s Albayzín quarter as evening light bathes the palace in soft hues. Then turn your attention to Seville; one of Spain’s most magnificent cities. Begin with a CEO-led orientation walk and opt for attractions like the Giralda bell tower or Casa Pilatos – a palatial blend of Italian Renaissance and Spanish Mudéjar style. To get an authentic glimpse into traditional gypsy culture, attend an enthralling flamenco performance.
