We are privileged to have a private city tour with a local guide bringing us around St. George Castle, Alfama – Lisbon’s oldest quarter – Downtown and Chiado, all boasting their picturesque 18th-century buildings. Afterwards, it is free time for you to explore and find your favorite spots. A tip from the tour director: try out some bafana with an imperial or pastel de nata with an espresso! To cap off today’s activities we have planned an exquisite Fado Show and Dinner (included). Here you can taste some of Portugal’s most beloved dishes accompanied by stunning Fado performances. This unique song style is classified as Unesco World heritage and you’ll understand why. Vegetarian options are available.
Tour director tip: After the Fado show why not stay for some drinks at Bairro Alto and enjoy it’s quiet yet lively charm?
Day 4 Sintra, the fairytale town and Cascais, Lisbon’s riviera
To start off our day, we will embark on a Day Tour to explore Sintra and Cascais. Located just 30 km from Lisbon, Sintra is a paradise-like area boasting an invigorating climate and rich vegetation. Notable sites here include the Town Palace, the Pena Palace and Moorish Castle. We can take some time afterwards to enjoy lunch before continuing on to Cascais, a fabulous fishing village that has been around since the twelfth century and remains largely unchanged today. From there we will drive along the coast back to Lisbon and marvel at everything Estoril has to offer with its breathtaking beaches—it’s no wonder why it is known as the Lisbon Riviera. When returning to our hotel in the evening, why not make use of one of numerous scenic viewpoints by catching a sunset then heading over to LX Factory for dinner and drinks?
Day 5 Evora, the White city
This morning, our destination is Évora; UNESCO has recognised this as a World Heritage Site. Known as the “White City” and the “City Museum”, it will amaze visitors with its scenic architecture, monumental churches and winding medieval streets. Évora is a unique mix of various cultural influences. We’ll pay a visit to one of Portugal’s lead wine producers for an olive oil and wine tasting experience before having some free time for lunch. Later, we’ll have the opportunity to explore a quinta (winery) and learn about the process involved in creating Alentejo wines; another tasting session will also be on offer. The evening and night are yours to spend as you please.

Group transfer from the station will take us to our 4 star hotel in Vilamoura, an upmarket coastal holiday spot developed in the 1980s as an exclusive golf resort. Here you can find 5 world class courses too. The marina is the centrepiece of Vilamoura, where luxurious yachts moor and visitors can indulge in gourmet dining or sip drinks at chic bars. For great beaches, look no further than Praia da Falésia, boasting more than 5km of golden sands, or nearby Praia de Vilamoura beach that runs along Quarteira fishing harbour.
